రామోజీ రావు గారు

తెలుగు ప్రజల దైనందిక జీవితాలలో దాదాపు ఐదు దశాబ్దాల పాటు ప్రముఖ మీడియా అధిపతి, వ్యాపార వేత్త రామోజీరావు గారు ప్రభావం చూపారు.

ఆయన ఒక విజయవంతమైన వ్యాపారవేత్త, మీడియా అధిపతి, సంపాదకుడు, రాజకీయాలను, ప్రజాభిప్రాయాన్ని ప్రభావితం చెయ్యగలిగిన శక్తి, చేసిన వ్యక్తి. 

Discipline, hard work,fierce ambition, chutzpah  and socio political clout and support. This is a unbeatable combination. Man with a Midas touch.

Some thoughts. These are only my observations as I understood them over a long period of time. Normally as is my wont, I like to see both sides of a coin. It is my endeavour to present a balanced view. 

ఈనాడు వార్తా పత్రిక , ఈ టీవీ, Film city: ఈ మూడింటినీ వ్యాపార పరంగా, సాంకేతికంగా ఉన్నత స్థాయిలో నిలబెట్టారు. ప్రజాదరణ పొందారు. ఎంతో మందికి ఉపాధి కల్పించారు. మార్గదర్శి గా నిలిచారు. 

Was he politically neutral ? No. In fact, it may not be possible or even required for anyone  including a media house to maintain total neutrality. ఎంత లేదనుకున్నా ఎంతో కొంత bias అనేది ఉంటుంది. Nothing wrong in taking a political stance. At the same time, criticism should be based on issues and not personal dislike. Unfortunately the political narrative has vitiated the atmosphere and media started playing an unhealthy role.

There will be strengths and faults in every political party or leader. Criticize mistakes and appreciate good deeds irrespective of parties.

Instead Telugu media is often working like mouthpiece of particular political parties  and has lost credibility.

This tendency is not specific to any one paper or channel. Almost all media houses seem to be inclined to one  political party or the other due to some reasons which are best left unsaid.

Whether we like it or not that is how system runs. 

తెలుగు మీడియాలో ఉన్న ఈ పెడ ధోరణి వల్ల  విశ్వసనీయత కోల్పోయింది అనిపిస్తుంది. 

అయితే వినోద కార్యక్రమాలు,భక్తి, ఆధ్యాత్మికం, ఆరోగ్య, వైజ్ఞానిక, వ్యవసాయం, సాహిత్యం.. ఇటువంటి అంశాలలో తెలుగు చానెళ్లు, పత్రికల పనితీరు బాగానే ఉంది. శాస్త్రీయ సంగీతం విషయం లో ఒక్క ఆకాశవాణి, దూరదర్శన్ మాత్రమే ఆదరిస్తున్నాయి.

ఉషాకిరణ్ మూవీస్: ఈ బ్యానర్ పై అనేక చిత్రాలు నిర్మించారు. అందులో మయూరి, ప్రతిఘటన ఈ రెండు మాత్రమే చెప్పుకోదగ్గ చిత్రాలు అని నా అభిప్రాయం. 

Chit funds :  Somehow I am not convinced about either chit funds or stock market / shares business. But both are popular investment choices.  People are investing heavily in share market.

Certain issues were raised by Vundavalli Arun Kumar regarding Margadarshi chit funds. 

Pickles: No doubt Priya pickles are very popular ముఖ్యంగా బ్రహ్మచారులకు ప్రియ పచ్చల్లతో అనుబంధం ఉంటుంది. అయితే ఇంటి పచ్చళ్ళు అలవాటైన వారికి బయట అమ్మే ఊరగాయలు అంతగా నచ్చవు. 90s లో వామన్ పికిల్స్ అని వచ్చేవి. నిజానికి ప్రియ పచ్చళ్ళ కంటే రుచిగా ఉండేవి. ఎందుకో తెలియదు ఆ బ్రాండు ఆగిపోయింది.

Film city: సినీ పరిశ్రమకు, సంబంధించిన అన్ని సౌకర్యాలు స్టూడియోలు, ఒకే చోట పిలిం సిటీలో నెలకొల్పడం జరిగింది. అది విజయవంతంగా నడుస్తున్నది.

I never visited the film City as I felt the ticket price is high. I lost interest. In my opinion food should be included in the ticket price as it is quite high. 

I don't know why but I keep revisiting the following thought.

Why any individual or organisation or entity tends to be hegemonic? 

It boils down to the fundamental nature of consciousness which wants to expand infinitely, stay forever and be always happy. Scale of identification decides the effect.

Prof. నాగేశ్వర్ గారు రామోజీ గారిపై ఒక చక్కటి  వీడియో చేశారు. As per Nageshwar garu, Ramoji Rao garu used to maintain very good personal relations with many people. He was a true journalist.  He earned respect of even those who opposed him. He was a disciplined person and continued to work for his set goals even in ripe old age. He was interested in literature, Indian culture and traditions.

People may not agree with him on some  issues. Still they can learn many good things from the life of Ramoji garu. He was a great institution builder.
