Late పునీత్ రాజ్ కుమార్ (1975-2021). కన్నడ కంఠీరవ కీ. శే. డా. రాజ్ కుమార్ గారి చిన్న కుమారుడు. కన్నడ చిత్ర రంగం లో పవర్ స్టార్ గా అశేష మైన యువ అభిమానులు కలిగిన ప్రతిభ కల నటుడు. అప్పు అని అభిమానులు పిలుచుకుంటారు. స్ఫురద్రూపి. అద్భుతమైన డాన్సర్. బాలనటుడు గా అనేక చిత్రాలలో నటించాడు. భక్త ప్రహ్లాద కన్నడ చిత్రం లో హిరణ్య కశిపుని పాత్రలో డా. రాజ్ కుమార్ ప్రహ్లాదుడి పాత్రలో పునీత్ నటించారు. ఇతని అన్న గారైన శివ రాజ్ కుమార్ కన్నడ సినీ రంగంలో సూపర్ స్టార్ గా కొనసాగుతున్నాడు.
పునీత్ 46 సంవత్సరాల చిన్న వయసులోనే 2021 సంవత్సరంలో గుండె పోటుతో మరణించాడు. కన్నడ సినీ అభిమానులకు ఈ విషాద సంఘటన ఎంతో బాధ కలిగించింది.
