నేపథ్య గాయకుడు పి. జయచంద్రన్ - భావగాయకన్

మళయాళ చిత్ర సంగీత జగత్తులో జేసుదాసు తరువాత అంత పేరున్న గాయకుడు పి. జయచంద్రన్. 

గంభీరమైన గాత్రం, స్పష్ట మైన ఉచ్చారణ, భావ యుక్తమైన గానం కలిగిన ఆయనను భావగాయకన్ అని వారు గౌరవిస్తారు. 

80 -90 లలో ఆయన తమిళ, తెలుగు, కన్నడ పాటలు కూడా పాడారు.

ఒకవైపు ఎవరెస్ట్ శిఖరం లాగా జేసుదాసు గారు ఉంటే, జయ చంద్రన్ గారు కూడా  బలమైన గాత్రంతో  ప్రత్యేక స్థానాన్ని అశేష అభిమానులను సంపాదించుకున్నారు. 

జయచంద్రన్ గారికి పి. సుశీల గారు అంటే అమిత అభిమానం, ఆరాధనా భావం. ఆయన  ఇంటర్వ్యులలో సుశీల గారి గురించి గొప్పగా చెప్పారు. వారు ఇరువురు కలిసి అనేక మధుర యుగళ గీతాలు పాడారు.

పూ తెన్డ్రల్ కాట్రే వా  - (1982 manjal Nila ) when we listen to some songs we cannot but look in awe at the genius of the composer (Ilayaraja). Add mesmerizing voice of P susheela Amma and P Jayachandran. A beautiful song with avant-garde touch results.

తమిళం లో మాంజోలై కిళిదానో ( kizhakku pogum rail  1978 - Ilayaraja) పాటతో ఆయన గాత్రం అందరికీ చేరువయ్యింది. The semi classical song in suddha dhanyasi ragam  was a huge hit.

కొడియిలే మల్లియపూ - this was a fine duet in the voice of P jayachandran - s Janaki. (1986 - కడలోర కవిదైగళ్ - ఇళయరాజా). A brilliant composition.

An all time classic with great music and interludes.

A magical song which can transport the listener to a different world. కాసేపు మనసు గాలిపటంలా ఎక్కడికో ఎగిరిపోతుంది

Iconic song రాసాత్తి ఉన్నే కాణాద నెంజే (1984 వైదేహి కాత్తిరుందాళ్).    This was a blockbuster hit song. ఈ పాట తెలుగులో జాబిల్లి కోసం ఆకాశమల్లే కూడా పెద్ద హిట్. 

తమిళంలో జయచంద్రన్ సుశీల గారు విడివిడిగా పాడారు. అలాగే తెలుగులో బాలు జానకి గారు పాడారు.
